“Cardboard cars mean building, decorating, and then racing: guaranteed laughter!”

A real final race!

Full-size cars compete: the ranking is decided on the track.

100% Cardboard, 100% Recyclable

The chosen format when an event needs to convey a credible CSR message.

A Photogenic Deliverable

The cars are great for photos: internal communication has plenty of material.

Cardboard Car Team Building

What awaits you.

What child has never dreamed of building their own car? Your teams will rediscover that raw joy, that creative spark, and the pleasure of creating together! This is one of our corporate construction workshops: 2h30 to 3h30, for 10 to 500 participants.

After a safety briefing, each team defines its action plan, its unique design, and its sketches. Then it's action time: assembling the chassis, making the wheels, and a blank canvas for customisation! Recycled materials and tools are available to unleash innovation. For true team success, communication is essential for dividing tasks and managing resources, thereby strengthening cohesion before the final timed race!

What you will experience together:

  • Define a creative action plan, from the car's design to the team's theme
  • Build and customise an eco-soapbox car, from the chassis to the stylish accessories
  • Test the robustness of your creation in a memorable, timed final race

Cost of a Cardboard Car Team Building Activity

Expect €35 to €66 excl. VAT per person, with a minimum charge of €1,690 excl. VAT for smaller groups. The price per person then decreases: €66 for thirty participants, €38 for one hundred, €35 for two hundred.

In the Hauts-de-France region, the price is around 10% lower – €1,790 instead of €1,990 for thirty people. This is the most significant regional discount in the construction category. In Lyon or Bordeaux, however, the price is higher than in Paris: the distance from the provider is factored in.

Included are the cardboard, customisation materials, the facilitator, and pre-event coordination. Room hire, catering, and accommodation are quoted separately. The format can accommodate up to five hundred participants. Calculate your exact price based on your group size and location.

Organising Cardboard Cars for a CSR Event

This is the most frequently chosen construction format when an event needs to convey an environmental message: everything is cardboard, everything is recyclable, and the CSR message isn't just a presentation but something the teams physically create.

It also works very well for sales conventions, where the final race provides the anticipated competitive element, and for onboarding days, as the customisation allows each team to express its identity.

For an outdoor corporate event, it's one of the few construction formats that can be adapted to a courtyard, a car park, or a park.

Space, Duration, and Schedule

The only real technical constraint is sufficient space to race the cars. Everything else is adaptable: indoors or outdoors, on a regular surface or not, at your premises or a rented venue.

Allow 2h30 to 3h30; this is the longest format in the category. Time is allocated for design, assembly, customisation, and the race. We provide all the necessary equipment.

If your timeframe is shorter, Chain Reaction can be completed in 1h15 and takes place in a standard room.

Number of Participants and Profiles Involved

From 10 to 500 participants, with no technical prerequisites: cutting and assembling cardboard requires no special skills.

The format uniquely gives a role to every profile: design, construction, graphic customisation, and then driving during the race. Teams with very different personalities naturally find their place, which isn't the case for a purely manual workshop.

The activity can be run in French or English. We operate throughout France and Belgium. If this format isn't quite right, consider Destruction Rage Room. Another option often considered alongside this is KAPLA® Construction.
