Batucada can be scheduled for the opening or closing, lasting from 30 minutes to 1h30: the short version revitalises an audience, while the long version builds a complete piece section by section. It can be held indoors or outdoors.

Ensure a power outlet nearby and a stage for the musicians; the instruments, including caixa de guerra, tamborim, pandeiro, agogos, chocalho, and reco-reco, are brought and distributed by section. The flow follows four stages: introduction, learning basic rhythms, cohesion exercises, and finally, the performance.

Noise level is the main point to consider. Any venue constraints can be addressed on a bespoke basis.
